Dolisha DeVonne

I hopped on a plane, because you were too scared to fly,
Got on the High Roller, when you were afraid of heights,
Inhaled the Nevada air, a place you’ve never been,
Danced in the night,
Brought my friends,
Maybe sinned.
The coaster at New York, New York, made me fear for my life,
And I walked til my feet hurt embodying visions of lights,
At night, in a hotel room, I slept on the highest floor,
All the curtains open for city lights to allure.
I dreamed,
I relaxed,
Didn’t worry about home.
I talked,
I laughed,
Endless memories captured in my phone,
All these things I’ve done, you never got the chance to do,
I lived for you.
For Mama…Love Dolisha
